Clinical Lab Scientist
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a natural science’s field with 1-3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- License in the state of CA as a CLS, CGMBS or CCS
- Possesses appropriate computer skills with strong data entry skills
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Good social skills and attention to detail
- Motivated to work independently and within a team environment
- Willing to work in a biohazard environment and follow safety policies and standards outlined in the Safety Manual
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and problem solve
- Attention to detail and critical thinker
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working with software, quality systems and lab automation
- Knowledgeable of molecular laboratory processes or techniques
Job Description:
Performs clinical laboratory tests to support patient care. Utilizes a variety of molecular techniques, instrumentation, and disciplines related to NGS and other molecular procedures. Performs laboratory quality control and assurance activities. Supports with data entry and reporting processes.

Research Scientist
Qualification Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a natural sciences field
• Experience: 2-5 years related molecular lab experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Documentation and regulatory knowledge and compliance
• Complex problem solving
• Judgment and decision making
Job Description:
Performs laboratory tests to support research efforts to develop molecular testing procedures for use in the clinical laboratory. Utilizes a variety of scientific techniques, instrumentation, and disciplines related to NGS and other molecular techniques.
General Accountabilities
• Generates data from a variety of laboratory techniques and analytic instrumentation, such as next genetic sequencing, real time PCR, extraction.
• Participates in experiments designed to validate molecular testing protocols and documents performance characteristics of each procedure.
• Adheres to industry and government standards regarding safe handling of biohazardous and other hazardous materials.
• Performs validation studies to replicate results and to verify results with industry or scientific principles.
• Calibrates analytical instrumentation.
• Tabulates and graphs data and prepares technical reports for superiors.
• Maintains laboratory records, archives, assay protocols and sample or specimen repository sufficient to pass regulatory oversight including CAP and FDA.
• Trains subordinate research assistants.
